MONDAY:
- Learned that Illustrator layers act more like a folder than they do a layer.
- Learned to look for the blue box on the right side of a path to figure out which sub-layer it's on.
- Learned that using a box as a picture's placeholder can help make designing easier.
- Began working on grid-hierarchy project.
- Finished Angry Bird Assignment.
- Continued work on grid-hierarchy project, learned the importance of using rulers, grids and guides to keep designs clean, professional and appealing.
- Continued working on grid-hierarchy projects, learned how to place text on top of photos without wrecking the aesthetic of the photo, the text or the design itself. Worked with transparency.
- Updated website, completed DOW 6 and learned that complementary colours create vibrancy and contrast that draws the eye to the design.
- Began working on snowman (pictured below) in Illustrator to learn the program's basic fundamentals.
