The above design was created by ModPod Creative to combat several stigmas around mental illness, such as those that perpetuate the idea that it's not okay to speak up. The design uses a triadic colour scheme; the red yarn contrasts with the model's blue eyes, which contrast with his blond hair and the light tint of yellow in the background. The font used is stylized sans-serif, which was probably decided upon for accessibility (sans-serif is easier to read online, while serif is easier to read in print.) and may have been based on the company's target audience, which is comprised of teens and young adults.
What I like about this design is the fact that the model's mouth is obscured by yarn. Not only does this choice create visual interest, but it really encompasses the gritty truth about mental illness: it silences you, and you're stuck. The model's blank gaze into the camera adds to the design and its message, as well, because you feel like you're stupid, blank, when you can't even control your own brain. Altogether, I feel like the design delivers its message in a unique and effective format.
